How do
I use P.A.I.R.S.?
There
are two approaches to using P.A.I.R.S. effectively:
The FIRST is for those individuals that know the area; (represented
by YEAR and GRID
MAP) they wish to obtain aerial photography for.
If
you are one of these people, follow the steps below:
1. Click on the INDEX button and then select
the TEXT index
option.
2. Select the aerial YEAR that you wish
to download and its LOCATION.
3. Once you select the year and the location of the aerial that you wish to
obtain, a THUMBNAIL view
of the image will appear to the right of the MAP.
4. If this is the aerial you want and you
need a closer view, click on the aerial to enlarge it.
5. If this is the aerial you want, exit
the enlarged view and verify your item for download.
Click the DOWNLOAD button.
You may then select additional images for download.
The SECOND is
for those individuals who have an idea where
they need to look based upon a property site, but need further clarification
to pick the right aerials. If you are
one of these people, follow the steps below.
NOTE: All
aerials shown on the MAP represent the most current aerial year
(2000) and are for identification purposes only. In order to view and download
a different year you need to select an aerial from that year’s grid.

Click on the INDEX button and then select
the MAP index
option.
a) After the MAP of Pinellas County finishes
loading, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the screen.
1. To the left of the MAP is a LEGEND that
you may use to select AERIAL
INDEXES for all of our aerial years along with POINTS
OF INTEREST which help you find your location.

To the right of the MAP are the tools
that help you use the MAP effectively. These
tools include a PAN button,
a ZOOM button
and a SELECT button.
b) Now that the MAP has finished loading
follow the steps below to select your aerials:
1. Select the Aerial Index you wish
to obtain aerials from by clicking the checkbox to the left of the MAP on the Legend. You
may also select several of the Points
of Interest to further assist in locating your area.
NOTE: In a moment, the index will appear and
become active. Running your mouse
pointer over any feature without selecting
it will produce INFORMATION about
it.

Once you select the aerial year you wish
to obtain, left click once in the grid
in the area you feel is where you want to be and a THUMBNAIL view
of the image will appear to the right of the MAP.
3. If this is the aerial you want and you
need a closer view, click on the aerial
to enlarge it.
4. If this is the aerial you want, exit
the enlarged view and verify your
item for download.
Click the DOWNLOAD button.
You may then select additional images for download.and click the download
button.
